Witness Collection intends to help future generations understand and appreciate an important period of history through the diverse talents and creativity of Vietnamese artists. To safeguard each art work and to bring them alive requires an enormous amount of work - from technical and logistical aspects to research, writing, photography and filming. Among the technical disciplines undertaken are cleaning, preventive conservation, intervention in the case of damage, mounting and framing - using state-of-the-art techniques and museum-grade materials. Discovering the history of an art work and its artist’s experiences can seem like anything from detective work to academic research. Stories sometimes conflict and uncovering the past in a country where many records were lost or destroyed can be complex and time-consuming.

Witness Collection welcomes contact from individuals with specialist knowledge of Vietnam, historical research, exhibition planning, writing, photography and filming. Our ongoing projects include production of international exhibitions, a series of books and a HD TV documentary film.

For general enquiries, please see our contact page.
